Has Your State Banned Sharia Yet?
Believe it or not, the lefty Mother Jones posted a map (below) showing states that either have banned Sharia Law or are in the process of banning it in their state courts. Two states have succeeded — Louisiana and Tennessee — and three have tried and failed — Florida, Mississippi, and Utah. Another 16 states are in the process of keeping Sharia Law out.
Without looking, guess which states apparently are ignoring the whole issue? Can we just point at both coasts, along the Canadian border, and the states of Illinois, Wisconsin, and Michigan which boast healthy Muslim populations?
Tim Murphy writes: “It’s a familiar pattern: While actual Islamic law is virtually non-existent in the United States, efforts to combat the scourge of Islamic law are becoming increasingly common.”
Let’s hope he’s right. It just needs to become commoner faster.
Update 3/22: Oklahoma tries to outlaw Sharia again. Florida is also trying to push through a bill.

Any state that doesn’t denounce and outlaw Shariah law is going directly against our American Constitution and the laws of our land. When different nationalities immigrated into America, “WE” assimilated, learned the language and took an oath to uphold and protect [that] Constitution. Islam should and WILL be no different. If Islam cares to abide by only their own Shariah laws let them do it in another country; not America!!!
This year there is another bill #1294 by Senator Hayes and Rep Metz, last years bill did die in committee, hopefully this one will make it thru. Sharia law is foul and barbaric, you muslims who want it, go live some where else, otherwise you WILL live by the laws of the United States of America!! I truly hope Florida will among the states that ban it!!!
Since when is going against our Constitution a problem? Obama tramples on it every day he’s in office. Go to any college campus and ask any 10 students milling around in the quad some questions about the U.S. Constitution. Nine of them will stare at you blankly. The tenth will spit in your face. At least they know their’s. Our own, sadly, have no clue.
Most of the kids that go to Public School are being educated to the Muslim Religion. Our son who is a Freshman at a Public School in NJ brought home a homework assignment to complete called “The Islam Flyer”. However he is forbidden to have anything or write anything about the Christian Faith. I’m thinking these teachers don’t think they need to follow the rules about separation of church and state when it comes to their AGENDA.
