After having anxiously waited for POTUS to come on television last night to provide some insider’s details about the shootings at Fort Hood, RBO found his performance, well, less than informative. When he did come on at 5 p.m. Eastern what did he talk about?
POTUS addressed remarks to the press at the closing of the Tribal Nations Conference at the Department of Interior in Washington, D.C.
We certainly were not the only ones to observe what could have been an over-cautious president — or the usual tone deaf one.
Jim Hoft at Gateway Pundit noticed, as well:
- “After two minutes of smiling, pointing and dithering… Barack Obama finally got around to mentioning the massacre at Fort Hood in Texas.”
Yup. You heard correctly. After a full two minutes, POTUS said (WH transcript):
- … but as some of you might have heard, there has been a tragic shooting at the Fort Hood Army base in Texas. We don’t yet know all the details at this moment; we will share them as we get them. What we do know is that a number of American soldiers have been killed, and even more have been wounded in a horrific outburst of violence.
Now wait for it:
- And I want all of you to know that as Commander-in-Chief, there’s no greater honor but also no greater responsibility for me than to make sure that the extraordinary men and women in uniform are properly cared for and that their safety and security when they are at home is provided for.
So we are going to stay on this. But I hope in the meantime that all of you recognize the scope of this tragedy, and keep everybody in their thoughts and prayers.
Oh, yes. And this:
- Again, thank you for your participation here today. I am confident that this is going to be resulting in terrific work between this government and your governments in the weeks, the months, and years to come. God bless you, and God bless the United States of America.

But not without his piece of paper to read from. Geez. Horrific. Even I could have made a better statement right from the start and off the cuff.
He also really messed up with his shout out to the Congressional Medal Of Honor winner…though Dr. Joe Medicine Crow never actually received that honor. He was awarded a Medal of Freedom though. Again…Obama doesn’t seem to *get* the military or he would have realized you don’t WIN a Medal Of Honor…you earn it, unlike that recent Nobel he WON!!
During his (hopefully few) remaining days in the Oval Office, there is nothing that will bring this clown up to speed. Nothing that will slap his lil pinhead back to reality. Nothing.
I never watch Obie on the tube. Always change the channel or turn down the sound.

He is such a narcissistic tool. Everything in his statement is about him, not the nation and not the families. What a loon this guy is!!
I’ve drawn two conclusions – the first one under his desk in a fetal position during a national crisis will be Barry. I knew the skin was thin, but the shoulders on this man are so narrow. Second, there is more of an agenda here. Why put an ill prepared, scripted, tone flat Barry out in front of America? Sounds like another one of the “don’t look too much in this closet, we’ve got it covered” cover-ups. It is all a little too knee jerk for me.

Before becoming a citizen of Islamberg or any of the other Fuqra compounds, the recruits - - primarily inner city black men who became converts in prison - - are compelled to sign an oath that reads: "I shall always hear and obey, and whenever given the command, I shall readily fight for Allah's sake."
