Fox News Channel’s Glenn Beck’s June 19th show included an outstanding “ACORN tree” that shows how from a single trunk the two branches of SDS grew from Saul Alinsky, “community organizer”, to Wade Rathke and Paul and Heather Booth (“non-violence”) on the one side and the more “action-oriented”, violent Weather / Weather Undergrounders, Communist terrorists, Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, on the other. What Beck does not explain is that Heather Booth was very much a WUO supporter, of which RBO has written before. Beck also points out the almost ironic connection between fired AmeriCorps Inspector General Gerald Walpin and the ACORN-AmeriCorps long-term relationship.

The White House is on a witch hunt against inspectors general who blow the whistle on waste, fraud, and abuse of taxpayer dollars.
