Michael Sneed of the Chicago Sun-Times, who is definitely the go-to gal for truth when it comes to Rezko and The Chicago Way of doing business, writes today:
Sneed hears rumbles political fund-raiser/fixer Tony Rezko, who is now singing sweetly to the feds from his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center, has been talking about his “dealings” with a Chicago bank, which has political connections.
Hillbuzz comments that this is a “major clue that Barack Obama will indeed go down with Tony Rezko, sooner rather than later. It looks as though Rezko is about to turn on Alexi Giannoulias, the 30-year old State Treasurer of Illinois (who was elected only because Obama backed him).”
Flashback: Barackopolis: Sneed reported September 23, 2008: “Obama was scheduled to attend a private Greek fund-raiser” Monday night, September 22nd, at Chicago’s Powerhouse restaurant hosted by “Obama’s basketball buddy, state Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias, who was hitting donors up for $28,500 for Democratic National Committee coffers.”

The first Chicago event, with minimum admission of $1,500, will be held at The Standard Club. The second fundraiser, at a downtown restaurant, is being hosted by Illinois State Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias (jeh-NOO’-lee-ehs) and has a $28,500 admission price.

Well, we can all thank her for providing the proof that Barack and Michelle not only attended that April 3, 2004, reception for Iraqi-British billionaire businessman, Nadhmi Auchi, at Rekzo’s house, but that Obama was observed delivering a toast in Mr. Auchi’s direction. RBO will place good money on anything Sneed has to say. Anytime. Anywhere. Anyhow.

I bet it occurs to Rezko that Sneed could give Fitzgerald the Obama trophy – and I wonder if that puts just a little pressure on Rezko to try and compete for that reward. If Sneed snitches post election Barry Obama will hide under the Oval Office desk and Fitzgerald will be deported. Can you imagine the issues of saftey for Fitzgerald if he goes after Barky at any point? Radio show hosts can’t even host a program that speaks against the One without being flooded by the minions.

Katherine, no. The Pritzkers are too smart to do business with Rezko. It’s either Wonderboy Alexi’s bank or LaSalle Bank, patron and funder to Dems for years.
You posted this summer about the Rezko-Obama ties to Northern Trust where Obama got his sweetheart mortgage deal on his home. Could it be Northern Trust rather than Giannooulias’ bank?

Obama is the most crooked and sneakiest of politicians to run for President in decades! He has been very good at hiding his ties and associations, but it is all coming unraveled. I just hope that this little house of cards he’s built crashes down around him before November 4th.

We have Northern Trust (here, which was used by both the Woods Fund and Obama to purchase his Hyde Park mansion. Read the article for other connections, including Obama bundler Lester Crown, who served on the Northern Trust board.
Then we have the Mutual Bank of Harvey, Illinois, where Rita Rezko borrowed $500,000 to purchase the lot adjacent to Obama’s mansion. It is owned by Amrish Mahajan, who had loaned millions of dollars in financing for Tony Rezko’s real estate ventures.
I HAVE ALWAYS BELIEVED THAT OBAMA’S ILLEGAL DEALINGS WOULD EVENTUALLY COME TO LIGHT. IT SAYS IN THE BIBLE THAT “ALL THINGS HIDDEN COME TO LIGHT” WHETHER IT WILL BE BEFORE THE ELECTION WILL DEPEND ON THE MAIN MEDIA. WE ALL KNOW HOW “IN THE TANK” THEY ARE. I’m looking into Mutual now. Wasn’t there some questionable dealing there concerning Giannoulis and mob ties? I thought I read that a long time ago, but now I can’t find anything.
