Townhall.com’s Amanda Carpenter wrote September 30, 2008, about the “video circulating on the internet of school-aged children singing in support of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama [that] is rocketing its way around the Internet.”
The Drudge Report linked to the YouTube video declaring “Obama Kids Sing for Dear Leader” Tuesday afternoon drawing much attention to a performance of 22 children, aged 5-12, wearing identical blue Obama shirts singing a 3-minute ode to the Democratic candidate.
The performance was “inspired” by Obama fundraiser and music teacher Kathy Sawada and filmed on a Sunday afternoon in Venice, California.
The video was promoted on Obama’s presidential website in an August 20 post. “What the children and a few adults accomplished in a few hours on a Sunday afternoon embodies the nature of the Obama campaign: its grassroots inspiration, its inclusiveness, its community building,” Obama’s campaign site said of the video.

Via Ed Morrissey at Hot Air we learn the video was produced by “Jeff Zucker, Holly Schiffer, Peter Rosenfeld, Darin Moran, Jean Martin, Andy Blumenthal, and Nick Phoenix.”

I do not, do NOT get what the hell these people are thinking. What has Obama ever done that makes them believe he is *the one*????? What has he ever accomplished, achieved, said, or done that inspires this type of devotion? I absolutely do not get it.
It is SO cultish it is freaky. Just because of his skin color and his name these people think he will bring about world change.
But where is the proof that he is a man of his word, a man of charachter, a man who will bring about positive change. It is CRAZY!!!!!!!!

Should read “Veränderung” not Änderung. Änderung is more along the lines of ‘alteration’. Wechsel or Wandel would be a good translation of “Change” as well. Minor detail…

Don’t buy what the media is selling. They want us to believe the polling, just like with Hillary, and then she would beat him and he would march out his parade of losers and the media would ignore Hillay’s wins and adore the Fraud and his stooges like Edwards, whom i think all along was in the race to derail Hillary.
These days there’s simply no more poisonous drink in US than Kool-Aid’08. There’s no shortage of people who serve it to their friends and total strangers. But when people start giving this drink to thier kids you know that things have gone way too far.
I am surprised. I did not think that dems believed in God. Turns out that they worship the one true obama.
Lefties are truly scary when it comes to using children for political purposes. Who can forget the liberal photographer Jill Greenberg who deliberately traumatized kids in her studio so that they’d weep for the camera, all for an anti-Bush art project she was working on.
Lefties brainwash their kids from an early age and teach them that they’re part of a new enlightened plane of being and that it’s their job to fight the evil right wingers who haven’t yet been enlightened. They don’t care about letting their kids develop objective, free minds that have independence and integrity – all they care about is making 100% sure that their kids don’t embarrass them by blurting out some politically incorrect truth in front of their friends.
Lefties will even risk their kids lives to make an ideological point. I regularly see “whole earth” type lefties in Manhattan who cycle in dangerous, crazy New York traffic with their terrified kids on the back holding on for dear life. I shouted at one of these morons once and she almost crashed in her hysterical efforts to slam the brakes on and berate me. I told her that she didn’t care about the lives of her kid since she was so eager to risk his life like that. Her answer? “We have a greater moral right to use this road than these cars and trucks and he’s learned that from an early age.”
Sorry for the digression but the left makes me so mad and it’s about time that the rational among us stood up and fought them at every step.
People don’t realize that part of sending their children to “elite” schools is that the teachers therein WILL indoctrinate their children, and it should be considered an unspoken given, according to the staff. I used to work in one such school in Queens and they tried to do the same damned thing. However, this video is truly over the top. I hope it repels people away from Obama.
