On September 2, 2008, RBO delved into the bowels of the Friends of Barack Obama Illinois State campaign finance reports and promised more to come.
The first report—essentially the time frame during which Obama launched his run for the Illinois State Senate—covers the 7/1/1995 to 12/31/1995 period, for which we thankfully do have record of 112 itemized individual contributions. This cannot be said of the majority of Obama’s Illinois campaign reports, however.
It has also been widely believed that Obama’s political patron and personal real estate fairy, convicted political fixer Antoin “Tony” Rezko, was responsible for the funding that launched Obama’s political career. Although Rezko did contribute $2000 in 1995, in this particular point in time contributors were drawn from the Woods Fund of Chicago, the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, the Chicago educational community, Chicago city government, the Chicago legal community, and the Chicago business community. In general, these were people already connected with both Barack and Michelle Obama. Many of them continue as political campaign contributors to Obama.
A brief time table for both Barack Obama and Michelle Robinson Obama follows on the next page to provide perspective for their interaction with each of the named individual contributors. That is followed by an alphabetical account for each of the contributors: name, amount contributed in 1995, any subsequent amount(s) contributed to Obama’s other campaigns, and brief information about each of the contributors.
Our citizens may be deceived for awhile, and have been deceived; but as long as the presses can be protected, we may trust to them for light.--Thomas Jefferson.

Around $ 150 million was doled out by the Chicago Annenberg Challenge. Most went to activist groups and ‘charities’ in the geographic area where Obama first entered politics. How much of this money (intended for the benefit of Chicago school children), went to political supporters of Obama, and how much went to supporters of the agenda of Ayers? Individuals identified on the tax returns for the CAC and information on charities available through GuideStar would surely come up with quite a few matches when correlated with lists of the campaign contributors of Obama. I hope you are able to post those lists of contributors.
