Bill Clinton was right. Obama’s version of Iraq was a “fairy tale”. Poof! Just like that! It’s gone!
“Everyone needs to be aware of what Sen. Obama did yesterday on his website, and in his op-ed, regarding solidifying his flip on Iraq. Everyone seems to have missed it, including all of the mainstream media,” Todd Feinburg writes at Barack’s White Lies.
The cover has overshadowed the contents of the article. … Even so, the piece portrays Obama as a master triangulator, soulless and calculating, playing the lefty only to win in a left-leaning district. His actual instincts, to the extent that they are at all heartfelt, seem rather conservative. Although Lizza should have delved deeper — much, much deeper — into the Rezko/Blagojevich morass, the piece does demonstrate how Chicago pols who begin as reformers tend to join the ranks of the corrupted.—Joseph Cannon, Cannonfire, July 14, 2008.
Oh, grow up!: There’s no doubt that Bambi has tons of ‘charisma’—but so what? Charisma is a lot like anti-freeze: it tastes sweet, but it’ll kill you.—scaramouche, 7/14/08.
“The wankfest also distracts from the recent revelation that Obama thinks it’s funny to call women ‘hos.’ ‘I’m just messin’ with you, man,’ he said to the odious Bernie Mac. Later, of course, somebody from the campaign came out with a pooper-scooper and tried to pretend that Obama Does Not Approve Of That Kind Of Language, but everybody had already gotten a good look at the turd.”—Violet, Reclusive Leftist, 7/15/08.
